Since others are setting them up for their clubs, I thought it was high time (not a high time - although I am feeling quite lightheaded) that one was set up for the current league leaders. Also that Melbourne v Sydney thread has taken another direction since Melbourne beat the unbling. |

we've done well, but i aint getting carried away...........allsopp seems to have found some touch, the goal against new zealand was his best yet and archie is always dangerous, it's just that he has 7 off-sides out of 8 for the victory........... sarkies getting some game time was nice to see and he used that time well........ |

Who knows what the tail end of the season will bring but 3/3 is far better than last season's effort at the same time. It was terminally terrible. So frustrating. |

It was more of a smear than a streak... Nevertheless, are you going to the match on Sunday? |

Ok. I'm sure you have your reasons for the indecision. Could be close to a sell out. |

Good work L-Kay, about time the Victory have a thread of their own, with Liverpool & Man U both having one on an AUSSIE forum
;) Not getting too carried away at this stage of the season, 2 tough games coming up, but it is nice being top of the table. |

Come the middle of the season and we may be bitching about the woes and problems of the club BUT for now I am enjoying not only the success but the fact they are playing far and away better football. It seems like the new recruits are also pushing last year's players into better form. Like they have a visible benchmark. |

True about the competition for places helping the other players to perform, been very happy with Allsopp's form so far, hopefully Archie can get his scoring boots on in the coming weeks. What about Muscat - 3 goals in 3 games :nice: Am looking forward to being able to attend more matches this season as I am stopping work on Firday nights, and no more basketball on sunday nights. Am going to become a member next season when I start working full time and can actually afford it. |

I haven't found $160 too much. 11 games at slightly less than 16 bucks per game. That's of course if you can make it to all of the matches. Plus memberships for children 12 y/o and under were free last year. This year they are $30. So there is no change to the adult memberships (in fact we get one extra game) and I think the gen admin prices are $20 dollars rather than $22 (but I could be wrong as I only paid on a ad hoc basis once last year). What's expensive is the food and drink. Four bucks for water! I realise this is quite standard but I can't help but be appalled by the prices. |

Yeah, the reason that I didn't take it up was it strecthed my income a bit too much (am a student) and the fact that I wouldn't be able to make it to most of the games. Will have to talk a mate into coming later in the season with me so I am not alone, or sitting with the away fans. |

I went to a number of games by myself as I work in the city and would walk or catch the tram to Richmond for the series of Friday night matches that occured. You may end up chatting to some people regardless. I ended up chatting to some of the younger girls, who were often delightful but I got some smart arse comments from some of the teen lads. I didn't feel particulary left out or anything. You basically concentrate on the match anyway. |
