I think I should wait at least till Mid January, but I'm champing at the bit since I got the 2008 wooden spooners correct..

I know I got the Premiers correct as well, but not half as fun correctly predicting 2008's losers...

What do you think Ladies and Gentlemen ( and you too Meljarse)...?? :letmesee: :letmesee:

Too early or go for it...??

I'm going to wait until most of the trials have happened then I'll start a thread and either pin it or bookmark it.

i am very worried about my tigers.

i think this benji / farah thing will drag out far too long and distract the players.

i would not be surprised to see us finish bottom 4

My thoughts too..

Poor 'ol Gareth won't be celebrating his first year in the NRL...

I'd say bottom 2..

I think next year the doom and gloom that the raiders are always tagged with in the pre-season will come true. No genius coach in Neil Henry to spur the players to greater heights.

Never before been as excited about the start of an NRL season with the arrival of the Great Saint Benny, and fellow hard c.unts Neville Costigan, Jeremy Smith and of course,Big Bad Mick Weyman.

Tonie Carroll joining on too would put the iceing on the cake.

Toughest forward pack in the game for sure.

Anyways think Penrith will be in trouble next season.

Their recruitment is worst than the Tigers. Lost a lot of $$$ last season, where the f.uck did it all go???

Gavin Cooper?

Well I am game to have an early pick- Storm to beat Dogs in GF, Souths and Penrith to fight out the spoon with Tigers

Wing to leave souths at end of year due to sponsorship issue, with Farrah to bunnies in 2010

Footballers to be accused of rape 3 times, 7 drunk and disorderly and a Bronco to get fired for drinking- from the toyota cup to show they mean business- lockyer to be one of the 7 mentioned before....but he will be suffering depression.

8 teams to have broken some form of the salary cap

at least 5 origin players to be involved in union talks, and then sign a higher contract then they are presently on.

Melbourne to come up with a new method of slowing the ball down, that becomes back page news for weeks because it is seen as unfair

Parramatta to start with 10 wins in a row, and lose in the first week of the finals

Carl Webb to be linked to a boxing match with another footballer- probably Barry Hall

Wayne Bennett will be criticized about lack of talking in a press conference

Willie Mason will print a column about how the Bulldogs are trying to buy a premiership- and will learn the meaning of irony at the same time

Cronulla will go broke

St George premiers 09

North Sydney Bears continue to be the unluckiest club never to have played 1st grade in the new millennium.

Coastie to continue his run for president of the Central Coast Country Womens Association only to lose to a 65 year old lawn bowler from Budgewoi.

Err, he is a 65 year old lawn bowler from Budgewoi. If you're gonna make predictions at least have the guts not to hedge your bets. :up yours:

I actually thought you were inferring his daughter would beat him to the post. I was simply showing he wasn't as old as you suggested by you inference.

 I knew he wasnt a foal, figured him to be in his late 40's.

So in that case there is a fair chance he was around for the 52 and 65 finals the Bears lost. Perhaps as a ball boy for 52? Could he have been behind the "Big Bear" supermarket move which turned out to be a piece of marketing genius?
