wild cards are up to the organisers, i believe they get to pick and choose who gets them

 Did anyone see the stats in todays paper about the record of the top 10 players against each other last year ?

Federer had the worse record and Nadal had the best one followed by Murray (who has a 5-2 record over Federer).
