TABCORP will launch an exciting new bet type called Big6 on Saturday.

The new "life changing" bet type requires punters to select the winners of six races and has the potential to jackpot into million dollar dividends.

Big6 will be offered on the races, harness and greyhounds.

While initially Big6 will be held on the one meeting from each code it will expand over time to include races from interstate meetings.

The first meetings covered this Saturday by the NSW TAB are:

 RACES: 3 races at Flemington and 3 at Rosehill (CODE BI);

 HARNESS: 6 races at Ballarat (CODE MH); and

 GREYHOUNDS: 6 races at Wentworth Park (CODE SG).

Another attraction of Big6 is that it can include a mix of thoroughbred, harness and greyhound races.

Tabcorp is looking to launch its cross code Big6 to coincide with the Brisbane Inter Dominion, which is run at Albion Park on Saturday, March 28.

Tabcorp's General Manager of Marketing, Ian Mackay described Big6 as the bet that gave punters the chance to win "big time".

Mackay forecast that the pool for Big6 could run into the millions during the spring carnival.

He said the pools for Big6 could be $200,000 in its initial weeks.

"I can see a time, hopefully around spring carnival time, where we'll have $1 million pools. If everything goes right I think we'll get to $1 million by the spring," Mackay said.

Unit cost for a Big6 bet is 50 cents, but Tabcorp's hugely successful Flexi betting option is available on Big6.

During its six-week promotional launch, Tabcorp's commission from the Big6 will be just six per cent. It will be 25 per cent, five per cent more than its take from Quaddie, when the promotional period ends.

For punters who perennially pick three legs of the Quaddie, those who find themselves in a similar situation by picking five winners in Big 6, don't despair. There will be a dividend for punters who pick five winners - Tabcorp will declare a supplementary dividend of 10 per cent of the pool.

Piece of cake :correct:
