When Green had his World Title Mundine was the one kept talking it up he would fight him again and beat him. Along the lines it was the rematch Australia wanted to see.

After Green retired Nasser specially in the early parts spent alot of time trying to drag Green out of retirement. Green has come back for the $$$ there is no doubt about that, but Mundine is no better.

I'm not saying he is - that's totally not my point.

What I meant was that while obviously such a fight would be a distraction from the apparent goal of a legitimate world title, it seems from the outside looking in that money aside, a Green fight doesn't mean much for Mundine and that it would be almost a fight conducted 'on the side' as it were.

That's where the bullsh.it starts.

Mundine is not going to seriously pursue the title. There will be any number of excuses as to why the big fights can't be made. We've seen them already. In the meantime he'll keep taking meaningless local fights to fill his bank account. He'll retire as one of the greatest coulda been's in our History.

He is using his "world title dream" to talk up tonight's fight.

I read it on FSN this morning - winner becomes no. 1 contender - which I would assume would be the motivating factor for Mundine.
i meant jermaine taylor by the way, not shannon taylor.

interesting news though
