He was running second though, so it wasn't like staying in for him was a futile exercise... :laury: So the point - I was trying to think of a few ways to keep interest in the season right up until the end, bearing in mind that the bottom placegetters right now are 35 correct tips behind the leader! There are 8 of us, so: Idea 1) We increase the tipping score to 10 points a win after Round 22, and tip the finals...we can acknowledge the leader after R22 as the winner, or not, depending what everyone decides...certainly keeps interest in it for at least half the field, if you can catch up 30-40 points in a single week... Idea 2) We annul the scores after R22, and do a finals playoff - everyone makes the 8! This works by aligning everyone with finals teams, and the two tippers concerned tip for that match only...let's say Cookie wins and I'm 4th, and Geelong finish top and Collingwood finish 4th...Cookie as the higher tipper gets "home ground advantage" and gets to tip the winner of the game, and I have to have the other one...the other 6 placegetters share the other three matchups, and so on through the rest of the finals...sure, the top 4 will get the perks, as happens in the real thing, but that's what you bottom half placegetters get for being shit tipsters and/or lazy funts who keep forgetting...! :laughing: Any other thoughts...?
