Roberg on top after thursday practice....
Webber just outside the top 10....

But he said the long run pace was very good, he just didnt get the chance to do a quick flyer like most of the field as there were yellow flags at the end of the session and he couldnt do one.

webber to do a "senna" here
this is a drivers track, webber is in another class than the two braun robots thus will sustain faster laps longer, webbers biggest foe here after breakdown/ prang is his team mate and alonso!!!!!!!

agreed....
button even said that webber is his biggest threat with an event free race....

SC's, rain, and reliability are often issues at monaco though... the last few years have provided plenty of all of them

Button on Pole...
I think he is very very light though... his fastest time of the weekend was set in Q3, not Q1 or 2 when he has no fuel on board....

Webber was 3rd in Q1 and 2 and was 8 tenths slower than his best time in Q3....

um... the vettel train at the start was interesting.... rosbergs move on massa was utterly brilliant, and im amazed felipe was able to avoid him.

hamilton finished a lap down (brilliant)...

webber moves to outright 4th by 5 points..... the toyotas are going backwards and they are 5th and 6th..... so with a few good races mark could consolidate 4th and being only a few points behind vettel now (who DNF at monaco) he could challenge for 3rd or 2nd

I wouldnt be jumping out of my skin to say it was an amazing race. Vettel, like many others, had massive problems with the super softs and as a result caused a car park. Apart from another Kamakazi attack on an unsuspecting wall by the lastest Japanese nutcase it was a pretty dull race.

IMO they need to find a way of widening the track on a few corners to help with overtaking.

There is no chance at Monaco. There simply isnt any room. Ii had thought that when they changed the swimming pool section we may have seen an area for a possible dive up the inside but there is still no room. Added to this is the cars aero packages. They still allow too much dirty air. The changes this year where to increase the chances for overtaking by removing substantial rear diffuser grip. However, Brawn finds away around it and we are almost back to where we were. Not quite but allowing the new diffusers has increased dirty air above what was expected.

All that being said, Monaco is a shite track. Its too tight and small for the modern cars and I would love to see it out of the calendar. No chance of it happening as its the 'showboat' round and everyone from Max to the tyre changers get gobbies from supermodels at Monaco.
