To be fair to Hoppa, McCall looked f*cking enormous, and cut, and hey - the guy knocked out Lennox Lewis, unarguably the premier heavyweight since the moment Tyson met Buster Douglas so he can fight. He got decked once and was tough enough to get back up, good luck to him for giving it a go.

I agree. Hoppa either has a big heart or a very small brain.

Comment by Hoppa's trainer

"Obviously John is very disappointed. He's in his room copping a mouthful from his wife, which is probably worse than what I could ever dish out to him."

Definately can't questions his heart but should never have been there in the first place.

True but he has about 50 kids to feed so he was never going to knock back the chance. It isn't though he is the first guy to be mismatched in the boxing ring.

Think of Gerard Zohs for instance. It was unfair to put him in the same ring as Mundine. It was just lucky that he passed out before he could inflict any real damage on The Man...

Is exactly why the UFC is slowly but surely taking over boxing in the US.

Come on Phat, don't fall for the "I have a family to feed" line.
He has one or two kids more than me. There is an option called getting a job once footy is over. Guys have been doing it for years.

No, you're right. He should have knocked back the offer for heaps of money on the grounds that he'd rather earn less.
