It's not surprising, considering what Geale's manager said about Mundine before the match he's been made to look like one giant kcufwit. Of course he's going to challenge the result. It won't matter though, if a rematch is ordered Mundine will just abandon the title. The actual IBO belt means nothing, and in his mind (and the mind of the public) the fight has already been fought and won. He'll be going after Sturm or the other guy. He's not getting any younger and he's not going to waste time giving Geale a rematch when America beckons. Good fight between two great fighters. Mundine's better though, Geale's in his prime and at his natural weight and Mundine still took the honours. Excellent work for someone who took up boxing late. |
