Webbers pass on Alonso; Spain, 2009

The quality isnt fantastic as someone has taped it off their TV, but it shows the pass....

Initially, it was a great pass by Alonso to go off track and still make the pass.... but a slower Webber (No KERS) dived back up the inside, didnt lock any brakes and defended....

thats blocking imo, ive critised loundes for it (philip island when kelly hit him) so i gotta be fair and in my career(we go out sunday!!!!!) i get it a fair bit and it pisses me OFF!!!!!!!!!!!

but Tah....
the F1 rulebook states that a driver in F1 is allowed to go "off the racing once" in order to block a passing attempt... if you look at Webbers driving, he slowly moves over the left and alonso keeps going with it.
its the onus of the driver behind to pass, alonso did, but he chose to go off track to do it...
once the pass had been made, webber then darted back to the inside to pass himself

fair call and f1 authority did not do anything thus its okay in there rulebook...
