Well Lleyton loss to Roddick (3rd round of Queens)

7-6 7-6 though, fair effort

---

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the winner will not be one of the top 4  but I don't know who yet :letmesee:

Roger Federer I am still riding the happy wave from Paris. I have been catching up with family and friends in Switzerland and started to work out a couple of days ago. Today I hit on grass for the first time. It was great to be on the grass and I cant wait to get to Wimbledon next week. Speak soon and thanks again for all the great comments and support....

federer on the grass = federer being a druggo

I won't try and pick a winner, but I think maybe a 'dangerous floater' as Roy and HG like to call them, might do federer - a big serving type like Karlovic or someone.... maybe even Soderling.

if he can produce that form on clay with his game, he should go deep into Wimbeldon if he can reproduce it.

Tsonga Tsonga !

but no experience on grass it seems...... well the french love to rally from the back of the court

Tsonga does too, [although he has really good transition into the net....a few steps and hes there lolz]

Murray vs Blake in Queens final

won't be easy for Fed, i think all of the other '3' are gunnish on grass even

Nadal is still being plagued by the knee injury which saw him get knocked out early in the French. His chances of winning really depends on how his knee pulls up. I think Murray is due for a big grand slam tournament, and he'll feel at home at Wimbledon.

Fed obviously favourite though, but I think Murray will do him. Head to head Murray and Fed have played 8 times and Murray's won 6 of them. Of course Fed took out the important one, the US Open, but it's time for Murray to shine :correct:

I think the injury will affect Nadal less here than at Roland Garros - even for him the points are generally still a lot shorter. Mind you, his lesser ability on grass probably removes that minor advantage.

Fed's got a niggle too i think, forgot what it was though but there were doubts whether he'd play... well he did pull out of Halle

Does Murray struggle with all the hype expected playing at home? Hasn't done that well in Wimbledon (although he's not that great in grand slams in general when he gets to QF)

Nah, not really, Murray's not the sort to cave under mental pressure. That would be Djokovic. Murray had an anger management problem which he got help for in the middle of last year (McEnroe even gave him advice). Since then, he's been practically a new man, making the final at the US Open, showing great form at the Australian Open before being knocked out by a red hot Verdasco, and just dominating the tournaments at the start of the year (he won the Doha Open, and Abu Dhabi beating both Nadal and Federer, now Queens). He doesn't do well on clay, but grass suits him to a tee. Not to mention he's worked exceptionally hard on his fitness and overall movement in the small off-season tennis players get. He's definately a danger.

He's won five tournaments this year so far, 4 on hard courts and one on grass. And he's beaten all the big names to do it, Fed, nadal, Djokovic. He's going to break through soon and I just have a feeling it may be this tournament.

the one moment i remember of Murray in Wimbledon was last year when he beat some guy and it was really late... long 5 setter... gasquet i think

and then in the press conference he ate sushi with chopsticks
and when i was watching it was late as well... and i got really hungry for sushi watching Murray eat sushi...with chopsticks

idk why but thats such a vivid memory for me when i see Murray...
