now we have carved the league up again, time to look forward

rumours of shaq being traded to the cavs, i thought him going to the suns was dumb, but i like him at cleveland, i mean LeBron is doubled all the time, so either mo will and west are gonna truck loads of open shots or shaq is gonna get great position all the time, they'd be really hard to stop and even an old, slow shaq is a better defender then Z

as for the lakers

kobe as a player option, he'll either opt out and re-sign or take the player option
son yue has a team option for 700k, may aswell take it up

odom, ariza, brown, powell and DJ are all off contract

i'd love to keep ariza and odom but it may come down to a choice, in which case i'd take ariza, better long term but buss may just choose to pay both, he has the cash

i'd offer brown, powell and DJ similar contract to what they are on now (which is 700k-900k ) we'll probally lose brown, someone will give him a couple of mill.

don't think we'll be looking to sign anyone, unless we lose odom, they we'll be looking to sign a veteren big man.

as for the draft, if we re-sign everyone except brown, we'll be looking at guys like mills, collison and Calathes

if we keep brown, then maybe a back up SG, sasha needs competition for that role

contracts are here http://hoopshype.com/salaries.htm

warriors won't change much unless they make a trade, what do you reckon bullets ? your team seems to be locked in for a few years

Can't really afford to lose anyone. They definitely need to groom an athletic young point guard to take over from Fisher.

Hopefully Kobe doesn't hog cap space like he hogs the ball.

They need a pg more than anything. Fisher is gone now imo. Will not be any good to run the team next season and given that farmar cant play at all, id say a guy like mills or collison is needed. I have questions over calathes.

Package odom in a sign and trade for a higher draft pick??? Prob cant be done, but it is a weak draft, mayb a teams wants out of it??

Warriors=kcufed

I reckon draft they go Demar DeRozen, perfect for the high flying warriors, except the shooting. ALtho he would just further hinder the logjam at the 2 spot for the warriors. But we all know the warriors play with four 2 guards and a big spastic white guy in the middle just for the fun of it

lol @ farmar can't play at all

we are gonna need a PG tho, fisher will probally just start the halves and play at the end of close games, i kinda want collison, not sure about mills defensively, i reckon buss may just pay up for ariza and odom

around the league

Quote:

Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News and Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.com filed separate reports that suggest there are yet again growing problems in Golden State.

Sources indicate that Monta Ellis is unhappy with the direction of the franchise and is considering 'popping off' in order to force his way off the Warriors.

Ellis has met with Don Nelson and Larry Riley and expressed that he doesn't want the Warriors to draft a playmaking point guard.

One NBA executive tells Givony that the Warriors have made a promise not to select such a guard.

This will leave Golden State to likely select Jordan Hill or James Johnson.

Shaquille O'Neal is open to a trade and Cleveland is his preferred destination, according to a source.

Another source indicated that LeBron James is excited about the possibility of playing alongside the legendary center.

O'Neal reportedly has some demands. He would like a two-year contract extension, and assurance that James will remain with the Cavaliers for at least the next three seasons.

"It's plausible, it's possible," said a league executive of the Shaq-to-Cleveland talks. "But there's nothing happening right now."

Several general managers believe that the Blazers might prove to be the stiffest competition for the Magic in re-signing Hedo Turkoglu.

Portland is a rising club similar to Orlando, while the Pistons, Raptors and Hawks have the cap room to make a player for the versatile forward.

Turkoglu, who opted out of a contract that would have paid him $7.3 million next season, is believed to be looking for $10 million annually on the open market.

"I think Hedo distinguished himself in this playoff run. He's in a different spot than he was before the playoffs began," agent Lon Babby said. "He's a unique player who helped take a team to the Finals. He's grateful for the opportunity and he's enjoyed his time in Orlando. It's a solid organization, a team on the rise. Hedo will weigh his options."

:o

PG blake
SG roy
SF turk
PF aldridge
C oden

bench: Rudy F, outlaw, webster, vanilla gorilla, frye, batum, bayless

thats a good team, only gonna get better, pretty deep aswell

they have pick 24 and could get another PG there

The facts that:

a) We need a big man, mullins has the highest ceiling but also the highest bust potential.
b)Im not sure if blair makes it to us, but in any case i dont think we are suited for blair.
c) We are at 16 in a super dodgy draft for the type of players we are after. I say go after the biggest reward player in mullins cos if we get blair i think we are just playing safe. No point in safe now @ 16. We lose nothing by drafting him
