Saw this on another forum: A work collegaue of mine is well connected in higher rugby circles. He's just poked is nose in the office with some interesting intell off the rumour mill, which apparently is circulating as a very strong story behind the scenes in Australia this morning The inside oil is the Henry has been put on notice by the NZ Rugby Union who are apparently considering sacking the coaches if sweeping changes to style are not made in the next 2 weeks. Apparently:- * The NZRU is furious at certain things that have been happening behind the scenes (don't know what exactly, but it sounds grim) * Toeva and MacAllister have reportedly been reduced to nervous wrecks in the past few weeks by the coaching team style * NZRU advice is to immediately cease and desist in playing individuals out of position * Carl Hayman is reportedly in NZ but apparently is refusing to play for NZ under Henry * There is a 2 week deadline to implement the NZRU 'requirements for change' in coaching style- whatever they are. Obviously rumour only at this stage but if this is true its a bit of a bloody timebomb ticking away....I'd be curious to hear if anyone here has heard anything similar! |

Henry certainly has been a low point in NZ Rugby. NZ once had masses of Rugby talent, tons of it. All gonski. You just have to look at the coaches now, they are decrepid. If you look at "Shag" for instance he is overweight, looks like he hasnt slept for three months and cant even talk. Wyne Smith just doesnt even appear to be that bright and coach Henry has zero flair, just plain arrogance. The days of the AB's instilling fear into their apponents just at the sight of the black jersey are over. We have to play Rugby now, not just this experimental players out of natural position backyard Rugby. Bring back the All Blacks, not this sh.it. |
