As the NBA draft approached, the grim truth about Yao Ming’s(notes) broken left foot hung like an anvil over the Houston Rockets. The fear isn’t that he’s just lost for next season, but longer.

The Rockets and Yao’s reps are frightened over his future, and the concern is the most base of all: Does Yao Ming ever play again?

It wouldn't surprise me. People of that height usually have a lot of problems playing top-line sports.

Interesting reports on Sportscenter saying Yao is more optimistic than that. Apparently his foot feels really good.

he was shocked the rockets spent over the luxury tax (apparently they never do it), and he is reading around rockets forums and such that mcgrady is on his way out, which is why they spent so much.....

where did ron artest go? LA im guessing?

could have got a huge pay day but took less to come and play for the champs

t-mac is hard to trade atm, i think he will still be on their roster next season, no one wants to take a risk on him these days, he aint worth it

Ariza's going to Houston for more money than Artest :nono:

T-Mac is a huge expiring contract so he could get traded but teams might wait til during the season to do it
