Their point is perfectly valid - take Harby out of the Indian side, they will find an adequate if slightly less-effective spinner. Take Murali out of Lanka, they have Mendis. Take Swann out of England, they have Panesar, take Vettori out of New Zealand they have Patel etc etc - Australia have Michael Clarke.
