Resident Golfer Posts: 15,276 Group: Full Member Member #159 Joined: 16 February 2006	hey hey been away for 3 months and havent seen any of the racing, but i thought we should get a thread going for the cups + cox. basically....i want some tips :laughing: i am going to back roman emporer fixed odds for both cups tomoro morning......hugh bowman is going down to melbourne tomoro to ride the emporer, even though there are 4 group 1s in sydney. he doesnt want to miss a ride becoz this is his cups horse, and wants to be on all campaign......thats good enough for me any other horse impressed so far this spring?

Rarely get a donkey that wins this race as the VRC have the right to withdraw horses. Some people are saying its one of the weakest in years but they say that every year about the Cox Plate. Whobegotyou looks to have it at its mercy. Speed Gifted is being well supported.

I wouldn't be surprised if El Segundo figured in the finish with its record at MV. I think Fields of Omagh didn't win a race for 2 years before it won the Cox Plate at MV...
