If we smash the South Koreans, get maybe a draw against the Dutch and destroy Oman home & away I'd say we're a definite chance of top 10. Quite scary considering we were about 70th only a few years back, and back then we'd only be versing shite teams like New Zealand and the Solomon Islands. Moving to Asia = massive win. |

I reckon they are as fair as they can be. You can't exactly rank nations on who is hypothetically better. It's easy to say European nations have harder opposition etc but who is going to make the decision on which nations are stronger than each other when they haven't even played a game? We've been in good form and the ranking is a reflection of that. If nothing else it can at least help to put Australian football on the map and earn us some respect from the rest of the world. |
